ICS employee participated in the 3rd Annual Arctic Workshop
30.10.2015 /The Institute of Control Systems of the ANAS and IT company SINAM made proposals for projects in the Arctic region at the 3rd annual international seminar "The Arctic: Vector of Development & Dialogue" held in St. Petersburg.
More than 60 people took part at the seminar: experts, opinion leaders, representatives of Azerbaijan, Germany, Norway, representations in St. Petersburg the Sakha Republics (Yakutia), Nenets Autonomous Okrug, Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, Murmansk, scientists of the St. Petersburg Science Center of Russian Academy of Sciences, the Arctic and Antarctic research institute, teachers and students of higher educational institutions, members of the media.
At the seminar the extended Bureau of the Council on Fundamental & Applied Problems of Hydrophysics of the St.-Petersburg scientific centre of the Russian Academy of Sciences approved project "Seismology Forecast of Yakutia", presented by the Arctic Academy of Sciences, the AMEA Institute of Control Systems and SINAM.
The project proposed by Dr. Tahir Alizade, head of the laboratory, will be realized by SINAM. SINAM also proposed to develop the territory with difficult climatic conditions by high technologies. In this regard, it proposed a package of decisions on the basis of its own developments in the field of geographic information systems (GIS). In particular, it is suggested to introduce in the Arctic zone an information system of automated monitoring, information system of urban addressing management, information system of urban transport management, create an e-map and navigation system.
