Institute of Control Systems of ANAS and Baku State University launched a new project
08.07.2016 / Conferences, assembliesA seminar on "Using nanotechnologies in the creating of an intelligent control system to increase oil recovery for reservoirs in the last stage of development” was held at the laboratory of Mathematical modeling of nanotechnologies application in oil industry of the Institute of Control Systems (ICS) of ANAS with the participation of employees of ICS ANAS and Baku State University (BSU).
Director of ICS ANAS, Academician Telman Aliev, rector of BSU, Academician Abel Magerramov, Corresp. Member of ANAS Prof. Aydin Kazimzade, Dean of Mechanical Mathematics Department Prof. Nizameddim Iskenderov, Head of Chair of Computational Mathematics Prof. Galina Mehdiyeva and other scientists took part in the seminar. In his opening speech, Acad. Abel Magerramov mentioned that scientific research devoted to the application of nanotechnologies in oil extraction had been conducted since 2005 and told about the cooperation between the SOCAR and the King Abdulaziz Research Center (Saudi Arabia) in this field.
Acad. Telman Aliev told the participants of the seminar about the successful work related to creating an intelligent control system for increasing oil recovery for reservoirs in the last stage of development.
Then employees of ICS ANAS spoke about the associated work. Head of the ICS Lab 1.9 "Control, diagnostics and management system for oil extracting facilities”, Doctor of Engineering, Assoc.Prof. Asif Rzayev spoke about "Using nanotechnologies in the creating of an intelligent control system to increase oil recovery for reservoirs in the last stage of development”. As a result of the scientific research in this field, 14 measuring devices covering 55 wells of Bibi-Heybat oil and gas extraction fields, 190 wells of Shirvan Oil and 140 wells of Salyan-Oil LTD were put into operation.
The participants of the seminar also discussed drawing up a state program on this subject and set up a work group.
