Asaf Hajiyev took part in the 20th Eurasian summit

Asaf Hajiyev participated in the 20th Eurasian summit held in Istanbul on 5-6 April. Presidents and prime ministers, members of parliaments and ministers of a number of countries took part in the summit. In his speech, Asaf Hajiyev touched upon the problem of combating terrorism, which poses an enormous danger for the whole world, and the great number of refugees that among others became the result of terrorist acts. The damage to the world economy caused by terrorism, to date, exceeds 400 billion US dollars. As a result of the Armenian aggression, the damage done to the Azerbaijani economy amounts to more than 10% of that amount.
If one of 110 people in the world is a refugee, in Azerbaijan this figure is much higher, one of 9 is a refugee and the world community should think about it seriously.
Asaf Hajiyev also spoke on the issues of science and education in the Black Sea region. He pointed out the importance of the reforms carried out in these areas, and told the audience about the reforms being carried out at ANAS in recent years.
At the end of the summit, Asaf Hajiyev was awarded a special medal of the Marmara Foundation for his merits in various areas.
