Minister of Communications and High Technologies of Azerbaijan Academician Ali Abbasov visited the Institute of Control Systems of ANAS
22.05.2014 / Conferences, assembliesMinister of Communications and High Technologies of Azerbaijan Academician Ali Abbasov, Head of the Department for the Development of Information Society Development at the MCHT Dr. Isbandiyar Aliyev and head of the Department for Strategic Planning, Investment and Scientific Potential at the MCHT Dr. Elchin Zeynalov visited the Institute of Control Systems (Cybernetics) of ANAS on 22 May 2014. Director of the Institute, Academician Telman Aliev provided the guests with comprehensive information on the scientific research works carried out at the Institute, monographs, papers published by the employees of the Institute in prestigious foreign journals, as well as on the projects proposed and devices and instruments developed by the Institute.
The guests also received full information about the operation of the network of stations built by the Institute based on Prof. T. Aliev’s theory of noise technologies and designed for monitoring of anomalous seismic processes (RNM ASP). The stations are located at Qum Island, in Shirvan, Siazan, Neftchala, Qazakh, Naftalan regions, in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, in the territory of the Republic of Turkmenistan and in the testing area of the Institute. They regularly transmit the acquired information via satellite communication to the center of monitoring of anomalous seismic processes. The representatives of the Ministry were familiarized with the experimental prototype of the new generation system based on noise technologies and position technologies for signal processes developed at the Institute. The function of that system is remote diagnostics and management of downhole equipment of oil wells. The system has been introduced at 35 oil extraction objects of Bibi-Heybat oilfield. The operational experience has demonstrated that the use of this system leads to more than 50% energy saving, considerable expansion of the overhaul period and more than twofold increase in cost-effectiveness. The act of introduction received from Azneft PA confirms the efficiency of the system and the expediency of introducing it at other oil extraction objects.
Minister pointed out the great importance of creating the station for monitoring of anomalous seismic processes. He also said that the theory and technologies developed at the Institute had been recognized worldwide and that their commercialization was required for their wider application. For this purpose, he suggested considering the possibility of developing joint projects between MCHT, SOCAR and ANAS and organizing mass production in technology parks.
