“Azerbaijani-Spanish relationship: Scientific view of futuredevelopment”
30.05.2014 / Conferences, assembliesThe symposium on "Azerbaijani-Spanish relationship: Scientific view of future development” was held at the Presidium of ANAStogether with the Royal Academy of Economic and Financial Sciences of Spain on 30 May 2014.
President of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences Academician AkifAlizade in his opening speech stressed the exceptional importance of the symposium for strengthening the cooperation between the researchers of Azerbaijan and Spain, including combined efforts in the personnel training policy.He then gave floor to President of the Royal Academy of Economic and Financial Sciences of Spain Dr. Jaime Gil Aluja.
Among the members of the Royal Academy of Economic and Financial Sciences of Spain, which has been active since the 17th century, there are 10 Nobel Prize winners and six members of the ANAS, such as the well-known Azerbaijani artist Tahir Salakhov and head of laboratory of the Institute of Control Systems, Doctor of Economics, Prof. GorkhmazImanov.
A memorandum of understanding between the two academies aimed at expanding the research in economic, natural and exact sciences and engineeringwas signed during the symposium.
Vice President of ANAS Academician Isa Habibeyli, Professor of the Institute of Control Systems GorkhmazImanov; researchers from the Institute of Economic Reforms of the Ministry of Economy and Industry of Azerbaijan, and researchers from the Royal Academy of Economic and Financial Sciences of Spain also spoke at the symposium.
