The first meeting of the Academic Council for Computer Science took place
04.12.2019 / Conferences, assembliesThe first meeting of the Academic Council for Computer Science took place at the Institute of Control Systems of ANAS on 4 December 2019.
Opening the meeting, the Chairman of the Council Aminaga Sadigov, Corresponding Member of ANAS, acquainted the members of the Council with the issues on the agenda and the meeting agenda was adopted.
The Chairman of the Council first provided information on the documents that constitute the legal framework for the functioning of the Council. He noted that the Council’s activities are regulated by the Law of the Azerbaijan Republic, the Decree of the President of the Azerbaijan Republic, relevant decrees of the Cabinet of Ministers and the Presidium of ANAS, as well as the Regulation on academic councils for scientific fields.
Aminaga Sadigov spoke about the main objectives of the Council, the specialty "Computer Science" and this field of science, as well as the main areas of scientific research in this area, carried out in our country and in the world.
Speaking at the meeting, the Deputy Chairman of the Scientific Council, corresponding member of ANAS Agasi Malikov and Professor Oktay Nusratov emphasized the importance of clarifying specialties related to computer sciences and identifying priority areas for future research in this area and proposed setting up a work group for this purpose.
The next issue brought up for discussion was the consideration and approval of the dissertation topics of dissertationists and doctoral program students.
During the discussion of the issues on the agenda, Academician Telman Aliyev, Corresponding Member of ANAS Vagif Ibragimov, Prof. Sayaddin Jafarov, Prof. Alakbar Aliyev and Assoc.Prof. Adalat Pashayev put forward their proposals.
Summing up the meeting, Chairman of the Council Aminaga Sadigov said that relevant documents taking into account all the proposals made during the discussions will be prepared to be approved at the next meeting of the Council.
