Distance learning continues at the Institute of Control Systems of ANAS
29.03.2020 / Conferences, assembliesAs part of measures taken to prevent the spread of the Novel Coronavirus infection (COVID-19) and enhance social isolation, it was decided to suspend the educational process in all educational institutions of the Republic of Azerbaijan, including the Master's program of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, starting 3 March 2020 and to postpone all related activities.
The President of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences Academician Ramiz Mehdiyev signed the decree on the organization of distance learning for the ANAS Master's program students in order to ensure the timely implementation of the educational process and the acquisition of knowledge in subjects in the curriculum to the extent established by the syllabi.
As part of the implementation of the order, distance learning courses for first-year Master's students were organized at the Institute of Control Systems of ANAS starting 29 March 2020. There are currently 10 persons studying in the first year of the Institute’s Master's program in the specialties “Mathematics”, “Computer sciences” and “Process automation engineering”. The teaching staff involved in the educational process provide training on topics included in their work plans (syllabi) via the Internet using various software and hardware tools, send electronic versions of lectures, presentations and assignments to the students by e-mail and organize online classes. The Department of Education of the Institute regularly receives information on the course of learning from the teachers and the students and passes it to the administration of the Institute and the Master's Program Department of the Science and Education Office of ANAS.
