Online defense of Master's theses in the specialty "Computer Science" took place at the Institute of Control Systems of ANAS
25.06.2020 / Conferences, assembliesOn 25 June 2020, a meeting of the specialized council for the defense of Master's theses in the specialty 060509 - “Computer Science” of second-year Master's students of the Institute of Control Systems of ANAS was held online on Skype. Along with the council members, the meeting was attended by Corresponding Member of ANAS Aminaga Sadigov, Academician Secretary of ANAS, Fail Kazimov, PhD in Economics, Head of the Science and Education Office of the Presidium of ANAS, Fikret Feyziev, PhD in Agrarian Sciences, Head of the Magistracy Department, Farhad Yusifov, PhD in Engineering, Head of the Department of Education Institute of Information Technology.
At the online meeting, 2 Master's students of the Institute of Control Systems and 3 Master's students of the Institute of Information Technology presented their dissertations for the defense.
The students presented to the participants of the meeting their dissertations in the form of presentations: “Development of architectural principles of the e-health network” by Ayten Akhmedova, Master's student of the subspecialty “Distributed systems and networks”, under the supervision of Corresponding Member of ANAS Masuma Mammadova; “Development of algorithms and programs of the computer-man dialogue system based on an understanding of texts in the Azerbaijani language” by Samir Mammadov, Master's student of the subspecialty “Intelligent systems” under the supervision of Corresponding Member of ANAS Kamil Aidazade; “Development of algorithms, software for converting wattmeter cards to dynamometer cards based on the mathematical model of the kinematics of the beam-pumping unit and conducting computer experiments” by Ulviya Kadasheva under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Adalat Pashayev, PhD (Math); “Application of the DBSCAN algorithm for big data analysis in Python” by Aygul Fakhraddin gizi, Master's student of the subspecialty “Computer systems and networks software” under the supervision of Corresponding Member of ANAS Ramiz Aliguliyev and “Methods for the efficient use of virtual resources based on cloud technologies in the data center” by Arzu Hasanli, Master's student of the subspecialty “Computer systems and networks software” under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Rashid Alekperov, PhD (Eng).
After the presentations, the participants of the meeting asked the candidates questions about each thesis, held a wide discussion and analyzed the relevance of the theses, presentation and research skills of the students.
Corresponding Member of ANAS Aminaga Sadigov, Academician Secretary of ANAS, spoke at the discussions, emphasizing the importance of the scientific and educational base created for the development of students in the ANAS Master's program, noting that the material and technical base was skillfully used in the preparation of the high-quality dissertations. Concluding his speech, A. Sadigov wished success to the students and offered his recommendations and suggestions for continuing education.
After the discussion of the presentations, an open vote was held, and the theses were evaluated in accordance with established criteria. Based on the results of the evaluation, the specialized council for the defense of Master's dissertations decided to confer a scientific-special Master's degree to each of the students.
